This 2025 report is a summary of progress towards achieving targets outlined in Ontario’s Biodiversity Strategy 2023-2030. Twenty-seven indicators were updated to help assess biodiversity’s state, impacts and pressures, as well as efforts to protect, restore and sustainably manage it across the province. This report provides a checkpoint to help assess current trends and determine whether we are on track to achieve the ambitious targets and goals needed to protect Ontario’s biodiversity. It provides a high level overview of the content of this reporting web site as of May 2025.
